The COVID-19 has slowed life for several people all around. The lifestyles changed and a habit of restricting individual social bubbles was born. Although many complained about the transition, there was a group that understood the essential aspects. Lewis Hamilton stated how the pandemic restrictions saw realization dawn upon him.

His life outside the grid compelled him to have a busy schedule between races. Although this was a part of who he was besides being a Formula 1 racer, he realized the importance of leading a much simpler lifestyle.

Hamilton said, “I think this year has been a learning year with this pandemic. I’ve definitely had a lot of time to myself, I’ve had a lot of time at home in my bubble. Which, on one side, has been not always the nicest. But then it gives you time to reflect and to really be present.”

The British driver has a brand with Tommy Hilfiger by the name of Hamilton. Besides having an affinity with motorsports, his flair for fashion and design is commendable. Yet, this talent of has often consumed most of his time earlier. The champion was busy traveling across the globe to meet his appointments. However, because of the pandemic, he has realized that life back home is also interesting.

“I think in the past, life was just so fast. You’re bouncing from one race to the next, one event to the next. It was way too fast-paced a life. Even hopefully when this thing passes us, I don’t want to go back to how it was before.” said the six-time world champion.

Motorsports stars live life in the fast lane. They don’t stop to think about how one moment passes them and other approaches. However, Lewis Hamilton recognizes that the pandemic break has brought out the fact that there is always time to reflect.

Lewis Hamilton realized that there are downsides to being at home, but the bigger picture is the reality of spending quality time alone. The Briton does not want to return to his older life immediately, as the time he spent at home has gotten him addicted to what he couldn’t do for so many years. Despite this, he may not give up his passion for fashion; yet he may be home much more.
