Lewis Hamilton Endorses Polarising Mercedes F1 Claim After Russian GP Win

After a long wait, Lewis Hamilton finally clinched his 100th race victory in an eventful Russian Grand Prix. The Briton overcame tricky weather conditions and a relatively slow start to take 25 crucial points away from Sochi.

Following his victory, Mercedes took to social media to appreciate their star driver. And earlier today, Hamilton shared one of those appreciation posts which drew several reactions.

The Brackley-based outfit shared several posts on their social media profiles following Hamilton’s victory in Sochi. Ranging from creative designs to team reactions, they covered it all to spread cheer amongst their legion of fans.

One of those posts shows the Briton sitting at a dinner table. While there’s a setup in place with cutlery and chairs, Hamilton is the only one at the table. This post saw the Silver Arrows write the caption, “@lewishamilton and all the other 100x F1 winners.”

The post garnered over 640,000 likes and 6,000 comments. While some fans lauded the page’s admin for the post, a few others continued to debate his success. Earlier today, Hamilton shared this post as a story on his Instagram profile to add to the ongoing banter amongst millions across the world.

While there’s no doubt that the reigning world champion is quite the personality on the grid, this move from him shows how much he’s in touch with his surroundings.

Hamilton moved above Max Verstappen in the driver’s championship

Verstappen fought from the back of the grid to take second place in a race which saw immense chaos. However, this couldn’t prevent Hamilton from going above him in the driver’s championship, as the season took another step towards its end.
