Lewis Hamilton has garnered quite a fan following around the world for his off-track activities. He has a fashion line in partnership with legendary brand Tommy Hilfiger. We have always spotted him in many fashion shows and events such as Met Gala.

Because of his extracurricular activities, Lewis has made a name for himself outside the sport. He recently mentioned that now he is a lot more focused on his activities outside the track than the racing.

I think it’s important to find inspiration from different things: Lewis Hamilton

As reported by PlanetF1, the seven-time world champion misses no opportunity to attend a fashion event despite his hectic schedule.

“I want to win World Championships with you, but at the same time want to help youngsters to get into the sport that are coming from different backgrounds,” said Hamilton.

“So that is like a real big focus for me, and seeing the response has been positive and seeing the progress that we are embarking on, that fuels me. I think it’s important to find inspiration from different things and helping people now is a big part of that,” said Lewis.

When asked if he will focus more on these activities from now on, Lewis stated,” I think in the long-term yeah, absolutely.”

Hamilton has won seven world champions in his time in Formula One. He won his first championship in 2008 and when he was 22, and now, as he is amidst a close fight to win his eighth, he believes his approach to a world championship has changed.

“When I was 22 years old, it was about me and my family and it was just about us, it was about us achieving a thing that we were told that we could not do. Now, you’ve seen over this past year I’ve got a fire, I’m pushing to help try to work with the sport to become more diverse in the following years.

“So that is like a side focus that I have, starting Mission 44 and starting in my new contract, putting it in the negotiations saying to Mercedes ‘I want to do something far greater than winning World Championships,” said Lewis.

Hamilton is currently going for his 8th world championship in F1. With just 6 races, he trails Verstappen by just 6 points.
