Lewis Hamilton has an immense fan following; some of which are borderline insane fanatics. Recently, one Hamilton fan has taken things too far to receive attention on the internet. The fan account @centurionlewis on Twitter has landed in major hot water.

The account announced the death of its handler on August 3rd. However, that was not the case, as the person behind the account is alive and well. The admin is believed to be a 28-year-old man named Liam from Ipswich.

Another Twitter account lead the expose on @CytrusF1. In his tweet he wrote “Liam is working as a hospital porter and not as a railroad worker, nor was he involved in the car crash. Liam also doesn’t have terminal cancer… Liam is, in fact- ALIVE and, most importantly, well.”

A few days before his alleged passing away, Liam also allegedly secured tickets from Mercedes for a tour of their Brackley factory. He also got tickets to the 2022 Hungarian GP costing nearly $3000

There have also been allegations of Liam scamming people through a GoFundMe campaign to treat his alleged terminal cancer.

Fans have been up in arms with this ever since the account got outed, and have been letting their feelings known on social media.

Fans react to Lewis Hamilton super fan who faked his own death

A sport is nothing without its loyal fans and F1 is no different. However, sometimes these fans take things too far in their pursuit of fame and attention. That is exactly what happened with this Lewis Hamilton fan account; cooking up an elaborate story and faking his own death. Fans have been going crazy on social media, crying out against the actions of the fan allegedly named Liam.

The falsity of this fan left others enraged. Using a sob story to benefit off teams, will now only deprive people who actually deserve such wishes to be granted. This has easily made the admin public enemy no.1 on F1 twitter.
