Lewis Hamilton is an F1 icon. Many would consider the Briton to be one of the greatest drivers of the sport. His passion for cars and adventure is well-known as he regularly updates his fans via his Instagram posts. Combining his love for both activities, Hamilton recently went on an off-track driving session with Mercedes co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Lewis is keeping himself distracted from the disappointing F1 season with Mercedes by partaking in several off-track activities. Before the US GP, the Denver Broncos co-owner went to watch his team play in one of their matches. However, in a recent video uploaded by Ineos Grenadier, Lewis reviewed the new 4×4 Grenadier alongside Sir Jim Ratcliffe in an off-road adventure.

Hamilton took the $60,000 car for a spin and tested the SUV across varying terrains and tracks. He also tested it in deep waters and impressed Sir Jim in the process. Additionally, the 103-race winner got James Bond vibes from driving the vehicle. Interestingly, it was the place where the infamous crash scene of the movie Casino Royale was shot.

Lewis said, “It definitely felt James Bond-like. Not injector seat feels like he’s got missiles that can come out here.” He also said, “If I would order mine, I had to do these all in black and put those extra lights that you guys have and the beefed-up wheels”

Hamilton also praised the comfort of the vehicle. He mentioned, “Very very comfortable considering some of the huge dips we were going down. I was pretty much flat out. Jim was a little bit worried about on the road.”

Sir Lewis Hamilton teases a new ‘plan’ with Mercedes

After hinting at a possible new contract extension with Mercedes a few weeks ago, Lewis has now teased something similar to his fans. The Mercedes driver’s contract expires at the end of next season. The F1 legend is loving the experience and isn’t willing to give up anytime soon.
