Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are no strangers to each other with both of them driving as teammates in Mercedes. Ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, Valtteri Bottas featured in a promo video for Uber car share. This video was uploaded to his Instagram page in collaboration with Uber. The video is a comedic take on Bottas as an Australian F1 driver, showcasing his ‘second car’. The video took the Formula One community by storm, prompting even Lewis Hamilton to comment on the post.

The video promotes the brand while Bottas puts on a hilarious persona that talks about driving the Uber as his backup ride. Captioned “Meat pie warmer? ✅ Budgie Smuggler clothes line? ✅ Kookaburra horn? ✅,” the Uber showcases many unique amenities as Bottas gives a hilarious demonstration.

With Bottas’ first car being the F1, Uber has tried to show other areas it is better than the C44. While going extremely fast around a track is the one thing the C44 was made the Uber shows its other features. The caption continued, “Your first car could NEVER… So we made a second car that could. Purpose built for an Aussie road trip”
Lewis Hamilton was one of the top commenters on the post, with his comment accumulating over 45k likes. The 7-time world champion, commented, “actually in tears, this is so good bro.” The funny video got to the Briton and this had not only him, but other drivers respond to the video too.

Alpine driver, Pierre Gasly, also noticed the post on Bottas’ page and took to the comments section calling the Stake F1 driver a “Legend”. The video showcases a design for fashion and food lovers. It also comes equipped with drink holders, and roof racks for extra storage.
Fellow Australian Daniel Ricciardo also commented on the post stating, “It’s a special feeling to have 3 Aussies on the grid.” Celebrating the Melbourne GP with his two Australian competitors, Ricciardo also showed support for Bottas’ comedic promotion.
