When it comes to Lewis Hamilton’s achievements on the track, there are only a few other drivers that ever come close. Yet, the 7-time world champion is currently dethroned by Max Verstappen. Schumacher said, “He will certainly bring his experience and his intuitions, but I think Ferrari is already on the right path.” He further said, “Hamilton won’t be able to contribute much”, and “Hamilton is, obviously, a seven-time world champion and a fantastic driver, but I don’t think he has the qualities of Verstappen.” The Former F1 driver concluded by saying, “I don’t think he’s as consistent as him, and he can’t eliminate that extra tenth at all costs.”

With that, Schumacher made a statement that will divide the F1 community into fans who believe that Lewis Hamilton will be an 8-time champion, and others who believe that he is off his prime.
