Mercedes dominated from 2014 to 2021. During the course, the team won 7 World Driver’s Championships and 8 World Constructors’ Championships. But this year the team had a lackluster performance, with the major reason being the porpoising issue. The issue made it really tough for the drivers to perform and get wins. That being said, the season finished with Lewis Hamilton in sixth and George Russell in fourth in the WDC. Yesterday Mercedes posted a video in which the duo was found revealing why they hated their W13.
While picking up a photograph of the entire team celebrating at the Brazilian GP, Hamilton said, “Best memory of the whole year, our first one too, and George’s first win, amazing day. Who would have thought when we had that porpoising issue?”

Hamilton further added telling Russell about his frustration with the car, “have you learned to like just through the year like hated the car?”
“There were definitely moments where you just hated the d*mn thing because it wouldn’t do what you wanted it to do. And they’re bouncing around you just got sick and tired.”

Russell quickly interjected and said, “At a time, I didn’t even remember what it was like to drive a car that didn’t bounce.”
Hamilton has had one of the worst seasons. The year has marked only the third time when Hamilton has finished behind his teammate. Before this, only Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg had beaten the Mercedes ace.

The support of fans delighted Lewis Hamilton
The seven-time world ended his season without a win. 2022 was tough not only for the star but also for his followers. The sour Abu Dhabi race where the Briton got a DNF had summed up the entire year of Hamilton. Although according to the Briton, it was the support of his fans that got him through the year.
