The 2021 F1 season was revolutionary in many aspects. The intense title fight between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen broke many barriers. Be it viewership, social media discussions, fights in the stewards’ room, or insane on-track heroics, this season will stand out as one of the best this sport has ever seen. However, the racing director, in a way, decided the title in the room, something that no one wanted going into the last race.
The Mercedes team has repeatedly accused the F1 racing committee of bending the rules to make the final race spectacle worthy rather than fair. The decisions made during the safety car by Masi helped Max Verstappen win his first title. Since then, there has been a lot of back and forth between the FIA and the Mercedes team.

Twitter reacts to a fan’s hilarious insight into current F1 scenes
In a recent event on the ESPN F1 handle, they shared a tweet from a user who carved out a guide for new F1 fans. The original tweet is titled, “quick guide to F1 for newbies in 2022”. A pointer in that tweet read, “title gets decided in the room”. ESPN shared the tweet saying, “That is actually pretty accurate” and a sea of reactions followed. The reply section under the tweet got flooded with a bunch of hilarious and at times pretty serious Hamilton vs Verstappen banters.
Let us explore some of the best ones.
The title i saw was decided by 1 team pitting and the other team staying out. Then a restart and a pass for the win.. then a team bitching and crying like babies and 1 driver sulking so bad he disappeared for 2 months having a temper tantrum!

This is an embarrassment of professional journalism.
Say what you will about the circumstances, but the title was decided on track.
— Matt (@cfusionpm) February 2, 2022
Nah it really wasn't. Deciding on track would have been following all the rules and seeing who won in the end. Not putting one driver in an unwinnable situation on old tires and going alright guys decide it on track. No, the decision in the room, caused the outcome on track.

"gambled"
They made the decision knowing f1 rules as hv been used several times before in regards to SC.Wat they didn't know was that rules wud be bent.

Dunno what you guys watched but I saw Max overtake Lewis, who had shite tyres because of poor strategy calls, and then I saw a trophy in Max's hands. A very exciting finish. Rather than trundling round behind a safety car to get the win, they raced, Lewis lost, suck the long bit.

Shame on @ESPNF1 for being openly biased. Not professional.

I got one as well.
Red bulls title hopes went away
The FIA wanted to have a large display
The rules were not followed

Well not exactly, because finishing behind the safety car would’ve been the fair thing to do. Same thing that would’ve happened any other race with any other drivers involved.
