Expressing his emotions on Women’s day, Lewis Hamilton took to Instagram with a heartfelt post. The F1 star was all praise for the exemplary women in motorsport. The Mercedes man put down a beautiful post, paying tribute to them on social media, on the occasion of women’s day.

The seven-times world champion wrote, “As I head into a week on the track, I wanted to take a moment this #InternationalWomensDay to celebrate several fearless women in motorsport who’ve chased their dreams and broken countless glass ceilings along the way. We have a long way to go, but these are just a few people paving the way to creating a more diverse sport.”

A list of all the women Lewis Hamilton praised in his post

The first picture was of Cristina Gutierrez from Spain. She’s a Spanish Rally driver and a World Champion. About her, Lewis wrote, “@cris_tortu is the first woman to win the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies. I’m also proud to call her a driver for @teamx44.”

Next, the Briton penned down a few lines for Reema Juffali, a Saudi Arabian woman. Lewis said, “@reemajuffali is the first Saudi Arabian woman to hold a racing license. She races on an international stage, even when her home country banned women on the roads until 2018.”

The third was about Stephanie Travers, a trackside fluid engineer.“@stephanietravers is the first Black woman to stand on an F1 podium, chasing her dreams to be a team principal,” Hamilton said about her.

Next was the wife of Mercedes team principal, Susie Wolff. The Mercedes man stated, “@susie_wolff is the CEO of Formula E’s @venturiracing and the last woman to have taken part in a Formula 1 Grand Prix Weekend testing for Williams.”

And last but not least was Brehanna Daniels. The former McLaren man went on to say, “@brehannadaniels is the first Black female pit member for NASCAR, and an absolute legend.”

An important factor to be kept in mind is that these are the women who excelled in motorsport throughout their careers. Most certainly, Lewis Hamilton’s kind gesture and recognition only further adds shine to their unbelievable feats.
