Lewis Hamilton Responds to His Infamous Social Media Outburst From 2019

Reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton opened up on his infamous social media rant and the public backlash that followed. The British driver also revealed his plan of action in protecting the environment and future projects aimed at saving the planet. Hamilton is quite outspoken when it comes to climate change and animal cruelty but not everyone supports his views.

Lewis Hamilton reflects on his rant and climate change

Hamilton is a vocal advocate against climate change and is one of the more environmentally conscious drivers on the grid. Moreover, the Brit often uses his social media platform to highlight pressing issues and promote ideas that are safer alternatives. Additionally, Hamilton often voices against detrimental activities that have serious consequences on the planet.

Last year, Hamilton posted a strongly worded message urging people to change for the better. However, his outburst didn’t go down too well with many.

“Honestly, I feel like giving up on everything,”

“Shut down completely. Why bother when the world is such a mess and people don’t seem to care? I’m going to take a moment away to gather my thoughts. Thank you to those of you who do give a damn about the world.” read Hamilton’s post.

In a recent interview, the Briton opened up on his rant and its aftermath. Speaking to Style Magazine, Hamilton said:

“I always believe in being true to yourself and others, and being transparent on social media is part of that”

” Being in my position, yes you are opening yourself up to scrutiny  But I know that my fans consistently support me and have my back.”

I think the traditional idea of what it is to be ‘masculine’ is changing and people are starting to realize that you don’t need to be invincible. There is strength in showing your vulnerability.

The 6 times World Champions is also involved in several projects that are aimed at promoting sustainability and promoting renewable energy. He opened up on his ventures and the looming threat of global warming.

“But we don’t have to be perfect to be part of the solution. “

Love him or hate him, Hamilton’s remarks about climate change are no facade.
