Consequently, Red Bull F1 boss, Christian Horner, threatened to protest against the allegedly illegal Mercedes W12. And, in the middle of the cheating storm stands Lewis Hamilton. Hence, amidst the ever-rising allegations, Hamilton has decided to chip in with his opinion on this controversial argument.

What did Lewis Hamilton say?

As reported by The Sun, Hamilton admitted that he initially feared Red Bull’s claims might be true. However, to clear his concerns, he apparently had quite long discussions with chief technical officer James Allison and technical director, Mike Elliott and sounded certain that Mercedes W12 is far from being framed as an illegal car.

I called James Allison and Mike Elliott. And said I really want to know about these things. They have taken me through the details of where we are. We have done all these tests and this is where it is. But, I don’t like it when people put that out there,” he said.
