Lewis Hamilton has not been active on his social media since the season finale in Abu Dhabi last month. The seven-time world champion has made no public appearances or comments regarding the season finale. The way the championship was taken away from him in the dying moments of the race certainly hurt the Mercedes driver.

I certainly hope Lewis Hamilton will be around this year: Christian Horner

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner stated he hopes Hamilton will continue racing in F1 in 2022. Despite their tumultuous relationship last season, Horner believes that both him and Max Verstappen were on another level in 2021.

“I certainly hope Lewis will be around this year. He’s still driving at an incredible level. The two drivers last year were in a league of their own,” said Horner.

“But ultimately, it’s his choice, it’s his career, it’s his decision, so I’m sure he will decide what’s best for him, what he wants to do, and that’s none of our business,” said Christian.
