Much of 2020 has been associated with the deadly pandemic. And Lewis Hamilton was no stranger to it, having tested positive for the virus after the Bahrain GP race weekend.

It, unfortunately, forced him to sit out the Sakhir GP race weekend, offering George Russell the opportunity to take the wheel in his stead. But following that race, Hamilton tested negative and competed in the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
Posting an Instagram story, the 35-year-old has revealed the impact on his body following his tussle with the virus. And he also shared that he is on the road to recovery.

Lewis Hamilton is fully determined to get his strength back
The visual showed a focused Hamilton in the gym, working out with his dog Roscoe in the background. He wrote quite the motivational caption and signified his intent to get back to his best.
The British racing driver had earlier spoken about how he was not feeling fully fit ahead of the Abu Dhabi GP. The impact on him was such that he was not at his best in the final race of the 2020 season.

The Mercedes star driver would be targeting a record 8th F1 championship next year
Hamilton showcased his class and brilliance as he ran away with the 2020 F1 Drivers’ title with ease. Keeping a streak of consistency across the 17-race season, he finished with 12 wins and rightly sealed the championship victory.

His constant presence to grab pole positions in the races meant he had a commanding starting position. And the Mercedes driver did not let it slip beyond his grasp, as he was building on his lead.
