Lewis Hamilton is not only one of the greatest F1 drivers of our time. He is an inspiration to the newer generations as well with his motto for inclusivity in the sport. Supporting people of color, females, and LQBTQIA+ he has made it clear that he wants to help work on the diversity within the sport. And to make that possible, he has started his project.

Back in 2021, after the Black Lives Matter movement was in full force, Lewis Hamilton launched Mission 44. Beyond that, he has displayed his lyrical skills as his alter-ego XNDA on a track with Christina Aguilera. This brought him to present a title at the GQ Global Creativity Awards.

GQ magazine honors Lewis Hamilton’s creativity

GQ Magazine is about to host the second edition of its GQ Global Creativity Awards. This year, it will be taking place on April 11 in New York. During the first Global Creativity Awards, Will Welch, the global editorial editor of the magazine explained, “The very notion of creativity has morphed from being a mercurial quality possessed by some, into the “most desirable cultural currency of our times.””

With that said, Lewis Hamilton was given the title of the F1-transcending powerhouse. While the 7-time World Champion has won many accolades in his career, this is a unique title to hold as the reputed magazine has recently started the facilitation.

Other popular figures that were honored by GQ Magazine were Hunter Schafer as a Hollywood star and activist, Danny McBride as the renaissance funnyman and Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, legendary rock gods turned Oscar-winning composers. Lewis Hamilton is a man of many talents and although racing and music are two widely known ones, there is more to the 7-time world champion.

What are Lewis Hamilton’s other talents?

Lewis Hamilton has always been an athletic person ever since his childhood. Before he got into Motorsports, he was in his school’s cricket and football team. He has stated in the past that if he was not driving an F1 car, he would be pursuing a career in other sports.

The Mercedes star is passionate about music and has been playing the guitar since he was 13. He featured on Christina Aguilera’s song “Pipe” under the pseudonym XNDA. He also has been involved in writing and recording music for about a decade. He voiced a character in the movie Cars 2 and a voice command assistant in Cars 3. Additionally, he was offered a role in Top Gun: Maverick but had to decline due to his racing commitments.

The billion-dollar man has served as an executive producer for the documentary film The Game Changers. He has also launched the clothing line TOMMYXLEWIS with designer Tommy Hilfiger during New York Fashion Week in 2018.

As an entrepreneur, Hamilton has invested in various businesses, including launching a vegan restaurant named Neat Burger and acquiring a stake in the fashion magazine W. He also launched Team X44 to compete in the Extreme E racing series and also became part of the ownership group of the NFL’s Denver Broncos. Hamilton also founded the production company Dawn Apollo Films, which is set to produce several projects, including a sports action drama film and a documentary about Hamilton himself, both to be released on Apple TV+.

But beyond the world of MotorSports, Epic Games added a cosmetic Hamilton player skin to Fortnite, along with a likeness of his dog, Roscoe.
