Lewis Hamilton’s Childhood Babysitter Provides Delightful Anecdotes From His Early Years

Lewis Hamilton is a 7-time world champion in Formula One. He has won everything in the sport and has numerous records to his name. Hamilton entered the sport in 2007 and immediately challenged for the world title in his rookie season.

The Mercedes driver credits a lot of his success to his father, who helped him in his early years. Lewis hails from Stevenage in the United Kingdom and belongs to a working-class family. Both his parents worked really hard to make Lewis’ dream of becoming a driver come true. Recently, his childhood babysitter named Bruce Harris came forward to share some insightful details from Hamilton’s early years.

I can never remember Lewis Hamilton crying: Bruce Harris

As reported by Daily Mail, the Brit mentioned people would comment on Lewis wherever he went but never cried. He also stated that the Mercedes driver was a jolly kid and was nice to look after.

“I remember when I first saw him. He was such a chubby boy with this really frizzy Afro hair. Whenever we went out with him, people always used to comment on it.” said Harris.

” He used to absolutely love to the Neighbours’ theme tune. Where ever he was in the house, he would just run to the TV and start dancing in front of it, he just loved it. He was good as gold to look after and I can never remember him crying. He wasn’t a fussy boy either and he’d eat anything you put in front of him and always seemed happy.

At the time, we had a whippet-cross called Ben, and they were always playing together in the garden. It was a lovely time we spent with him and I’m glad at the way he’s turned out and we both wish him all the best for the future.” said Hamilton’s caretaker while sharing his memories.
