Ecclestone not pleased with Hamilton being knighted

Hamilton was knighted on Wednesday at Windsor Castle for his contributions to the world of motorsports. However, not everyone is pleased with the decision to knight the seven-time world champion, including former Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone.

Speaking to German broadcaster n-tv as quoted by GrandPx.news, “Only people who have really done something for the country should be knighted. I don’t think many people who are knighted now really deserve it. They all make a lot of money and donate some to charity but they haven’t done anything specific for the country,” Ecclestone explained.
