Lewis Hamilton’s Close Ally Spotted on Enemy Grounds at Red Bull Event

The Red Bull car launch was a grand event in New York City. It certainly got a good marketing boost for the Austrian brand with Ford’s F1 return. Meanwhile, there were several Red Bull-sponsored athletes present at the venue as well. One of them was US fencing star Miles Chamley-Watson. Many were happy to see Chamley sharing footage of the events happening at the RBR launch. Though, to some, it felt a little weird considering Watson is a close ally and friend of Lewis Hamilton.

Watson posted stories on his Instagram, showing him enjoying Red Bull’s 2023 F1 season launch. The American fencer also had a nice chat as well with his fellow Red Bull athletes. Chamley shared these insider moments of how the vibe felt at the grand event.

Chamley known as @fencer on his Instagram has been a close friend of Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton. The duo often support each other for their accomplishments on social media. Although Watson’s presence was perhaps important at RBR’s F1 launch event for 2023, considering he is a Red Bull athlete.

Keeping personal friendly relations aside, sports stars often need to fulfill sponsor demands. Therefore, Miles-Chamley Watson attending Red Bull’s car launch makes sense from a sponsorship perspective.

Hamilton often has been a major sporting celebrity known to several other star athletes, Be it Tennis, NFL, NBA, or Soccer, you name the sport and Lewis may have friends and acquaintances there. Serena Williams in Tennis is a classic example of this trend about Lewis. With Miles Chamley-Watson as well, the bond is quite good considering how constantly the duo supports each other.

The US fencer may not be as famous as Lewis Hamilton is worldwide. Regardless, Chamley-Watson has got a good camaraderie with the 7-time champion that has been seen in the past.

Watson once attended the 2018 Abu Dhabi GP to support the Mercedes driver. He posted a picture of him at the Yas Marina circuit paddock along with American actor King Bach. The duo was quite excited to enjoy the adrenaline-filled racing. Eventually, their support came to fruition as their man Hamilton won the race.

Similarly, even Lewis has posted previously in appreciation of what Chamley is doing in his sport. He hailed the fencer for breaking down barriers in his sport that may be lacking in diversity. While it may be the connection of breaking the glass ceiling with their accomplishment, Lewis and Miles get along quite well.

Lewis Hamilton ain’t getting too sweaty about Watson attending Red Bull’s launch. The 7-time champion knows the professional sponsorship commitment one has to fulfill. Though, when it comes to the racing, Chamley is certainly supporting the Briton for an 8th world title, perhaps.
