Lewis Hamilton has been mingling with many Hollywood celebrities after reaching fame status. Recently there have been rumors of him working on a movie for an unnamed film by Joseph Kosinski. The upcoming movie is rumored to be named ‘Apex’ with Lewis Hamilton being one of the stars in it.

Not only will the 7-time world champion star in the movie, he is also the executive producer, to make sure everything about the movie feels authentic. Although the production stopped in 2023, it seems to be back up again. Freelance F1 journalist, Adam Cooper, recently gave an update on the same.

The movie is something many Formula One fans are excited about as Lewis Hamilton will be a part of the experience. It is set to be a $140 million project, which also features Brad Pitt and Damson Idris. While Brad Pitt has been a known fan of Formula 1, his appearance at race weekends was rare before he started filming for this movie. He notably attended the United States Grand Prix in Austin in 2022 after being confirmed for the movie.

F1 almost participated in movie production when Bernie Ecclestone was CEO. However, the plans fell through during Sylvester Stallone’s film “Driven” in 2001, as teams didn’t want any sensitive information to go out from the garage.

Fortunately, now the times have changed and we may see F1 enter media in a whole new way.

What is the plot of the movie featuring Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton?

As per sources, the F1 team, around which the movie will revolve will be called ‘APXGP’. Many who believed Brad Pitt will be driving a real F1 car for this will be disappointed to know that he will actually be behind the wheel of a modified F2 car with sponsor stickers from Tommy Hilfiger, MSC Cruises and Mercedes AMG.

As for the plot, Pitt will be playing a retired racer, ‘Sonny Hayes’ who will help a younger ‘Joshua Pierce’, played by Damson Idris, on the road to success.
