Things were never the same between the two. 11 years ago, an F1 Star was snubbed by Mercedes to favor Lewis Hamilton. Now the same F1 star has made bold statements to rip Lewis Hamilton apart. Who is this star? What did he say?

Back in 2013, nobody could’ve even remotely imagined that Mercedes would go on to dominate F1 for 8 consecutive years. Lewis Hamilton made the decision to switch teams from McLaren and make a move to Mercedes. The British driver took a big risk and was awarded for the same. Nonetheless, Mercedes had a Second option had Lewis Hamilton say No. It was revealed that Nico Hulkenberg was the driver. 

One can only imagine what could’ve been had Mercedes signed Nico Hulkenberg. However, things haven’t been the best at Mercedes as of lately as Red Bull continues their domination. Amid all this Hamilton seems to be getting frustrated day by day. As the 7X champion cribbed, Nico Hulkenberg said “It has to be said that Lewis is spoiled by his achievements. He’s complaining about everything these days.”

The German ripped the 38-year-old apart with these statements. Hamilton does have the reputation of being a crybaby and complaining about every little inconvenience. A recent example of this was the Austrian GP, where Lewis Hamilton kept complaining about the other drivers and was finally delivered a stern warning-ish. 

Toto Wolff’s stern message to “spoiled” Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes decided to take a lot of front wing before the car of the race. Seemingly, it made the car worse as Hamilton was all over the track, breaking track limits on every corner. Lando Norris, who was behind Hamilton, kept complaining about the issue and finally got him a 5-second penalty, which the Mercedes driver was furious about.

Later in the race, Hamilton fired up his inner Lando Norris and complained about every track limit breach by a driver. Amid all this, the Briton was also struggling with tires. Toto Wolff stepped in the middle of a radio and told Hamilton in a stern tone that the team knows the car was slow, just drive it.
