The fans who stayed back for the podium celebration saw two Brits on it for the first time since 1999. They also saw Lewis Hamilton extend his record to 14 podiums on one track. However, the fans with a keen eye, noticed Hamilton’s attempt to copy Norris and make an meme out of himself.

For the first time since 2022 Emilia Romagna GP, we saw the iconic champagne pop from the McLaren man. Norris’s peculiar champagne-popping style is unique and no one else on the grid does anything similar. However, the hard slap at the bottom forcing the fizz is exciting to see, even for Hamilton.

After entrusting him to safeguard the nation’s future in the sport, the Brit wanted to emulate his young countryman. However, it was easier said than done for Hamilton, as the Mercedes man’s attempt was comical.

Hamilton gently tapped his open champagne bottle on the podium, hoping for the same effect. However, the attempt was an absolute failure as the Brit’s half-hearted and possibly scared effort did not make a squeak.
