Lewis Hamilton famously missed out on a role in Top Gun: Maverick because of his commitment to Formula 1 schedule. Now he is producing a movie based around F1 with superstar Brad Pitt. Needless to say, the man loves movies and Hollywood. But which actor would he like to play himself if there was a biography being made about his life?

Lewis Hamilton was so mesmerized by the original Top Gun that he wanted to become a fighter pilot after watching the movie. When he got to know Tom Cruise was making a sequel to the movie, he begged him to give him a role, even if it meant that he’d have to play a janitor. Cruise did offer him a role, but not of a janitor, but of a fellow fighter pilot alongside him. But as we know, that did not materialize.

Who does Lewis Hamilton want to depict himself in a movie?

Lewis Hamilton last year appeared in a promotional video for IWC Schaffhausen and Esquire. In a fun interview with Saudi racer Abdulaziz Fudhili, Lewis revealed his choice:

He said, Who should play me in a movie? It’s difficult because you have to find someone that looks like you. I don’t know any actors that I can say that looks like me. Maybe I’ll say someone like…. Michael B. Jordan for example, would be cool. But he’s much bigger and probably won’t fit in the car. So he’d have to slim down but I like his acting at least.”
