Scuderia Ferrari have been making frequent breakthroughs over the past month, including the crucial 20 hp gain with the help of their fuel partner, Shell.
Most of the teams are likely to suffer significant power loss, as F1’s new regulation suggests the inclusion of ethanol into the fuel mix. Hence, the fact that Ferrari managed to recover most of the lost power has left the rivals reeling under pressure.
And of course, there is also the newly designed power unit which has been showing promising signs since the Italian GP last year. Now, according to reports, the Maranello outfit have yet another surprise in store with respect to the design of their 2022 challenger, ‘Project 674’.

Ferrari have chosen to make a contrasting change to the design of the car’s front axle. Unlike the SF21 which ran its course over the 2021 season, the 2022 challenger will sport a rather aggressive Pull-Rod configuration.
This seems like a well-analyzed decision considering the engineers have been busy in the wind tunnel testing out multiple solutions since early 2021.
