Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris have made a reputation for themselves off the track. The two McLaren men frequently feature in hilarious videos on McLaren’s social media accounts. They definitely know how to put on an interesting show for their audiences.

The constant banter between the two is fun to watch, and Ricciardo gave us a glimpse of that at Silverstone. However, the pair moved on from the British GP incident and delivered yet another comedic gold.

Ricciardo and Norris feature, as they often do, for a McLaren YouTube video. In the video, they tasked the McLaren pair to make breakfast, and, let’s just say, Ricciardo is a better driver than he is a chef.

Ricciardo attempted to make a crepe with teammate Norris with the help of detailed printed instructions. And after making the crepe mix, Ricciardo began to pour his mix onto what he thought was the pan. However, what he thought was completely incorrect as Ricciardo was pouring his mix where the pan was supposed to be placed.

The lady interrupted Ricciardo, saying, “Ah, that’s not the pan.” A hysterical Ricciardo picks up a pan after the interruption and said, “Ah, you put that on top. I knew that!” And continued, “I was like that doesn’t seem right.”

Seeing this post, Gordon Ramsey also commented, “I’ll show you how to make a real pancake !!” Before that, he also reacted to a separate joke on Twitter.

We really want to believe Ricciardo, but something tells us he had no idea. If not a kitchen, Ricciardo can at least take salvation in the fact he knows his way around most tracks in the world.

Apart from enjoying themselves behind a kitchen counter, The McLaren enjoyed the French race as well. Norris split the two Mercedes men in qualifying by parking his MCL36 at P5.

The qualifying result gave one fan an idea in accord with Gordon Ramsay’s famous “Idiot sandwich” antic. The fan recreated an iteration of the “Idiot Sandwich” image with Norris between the slices, a tribute to his qualifying result.

These hilarious videos are a good way for McLaren to build a rapport between its two drivers. When both drivers are happy and not fighting each other, the focus shifts to the collective goal.
