There are varying opinions on the Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez controversy. There are a handful who believe this isn’t a major incident and will be resolved soon. However, Sky Sports F1 journalist Karun Chandhok believes there is a real problem caused by Verstappen’s blatant disregard for the team orders.

The Sky Sports journalist expressed his opinion on the matter and he did not hold back. Moreover, the Indian believes the PR damage control by Red Bull does not overshadow the tensions between the two.

However, he expressed how the two can make inroads in their seemingly broken relationship. This might also be the best time to do so as their rivals, Mercedes, are on a resurgence.

“They need to decide internally as a team and as individuals. Are they prepared to draw a line under everything and say ‘Okay, what’s the past is the past. We’ve all made mistakes, we’re all going to move forward’. Ultimately, can the drivers accept that? Because they’re the ones in the cockpit in control of those situations,” he told Sky Sports.

“As much as the team can say what they want, they have to decide,” he concluded on the situation among the Red Bull men.
