The Dutchman also holds the record of being the youngest driver to make his F1 debut at the age of 17. He is also the youngest driver to win an F1 race. Verstappen won the Spanish GP in 2016 on his Red Bull debut at the age of 18 once again replacing Sebastian Vettel who held the record before him.

His victory in Baku also puts him joint 9th for most F1 wins alongside legends of the sport like Jim Clark and Niki Lauda. Although he is a long way off from Lewis Hamilton’s tally of 103, at just 24 years old, he has many years in the sport ahead of him.
