Max Verstappen is learning from his mistakes

Max recently opened up about how he deals with setbacks. And talks about his perspective on them. As most would do, the Red Bull man doesn’t take mistakes and setbacks in a completely negative light. Instead, he likes to learn and grow through these experiences. And such experiences he’s had many. Especially the start of the 2018 Formula 1 season, which was horrible for Max. One incident being a collision with his teammate as well, which could’ve resulted in points for both the drivers.

Coming on top of these situations, Max is a lot more mature now. Max recently stated, “Of course, it’s never a steady progression, you have tough times and setbacks, and you learn from that. I think at the end of the day, you have to make mistakes or suffer setbacks to eventually become better.”

He’s a world champion now, and that requires consistency. We achieve consistency with fewer mistakes and constant growth. Because it’s one thing to reach the top, but it’s a completely new task to stay on top.

He also mentions how he has learned from every situation. And paying attention to the team and working with them is an important part as well. A combination of such factors is why he’s up there among the very best. Attitude matters and it seems Max has the right one.

“It’s just about keeping learning and having that motivation to learn, because standing still is like going backwards. It’s also about paying attention to detail, to try to keep learning and becoming a little better in all areas.” Sums up the world champion.
