Adrian Newey has decided to leave Red Bull’s F1 team and everyone is wondering if Max Verstappen will do the same. While the rumors of this happening initially surfaced after the Bahrain Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has shut down all talks about his move to Mercedes. After multiple interviews, the 26-year-old Belgian-Dutch racing driver has stated that all he wants is the fastest car and for now it’s with Red Bull.

The problematic situation at Red Bull that drove Newey away has been the same issue that has bothered Jos Verstappen, prompting Max to leave the team. After this, when Jos Verstappen was spotted talking to Toto Wolff, the rumors of the 3-time world champion moving to the Silver Arrow became a thing. Now everyone wants to know what Max Verstappen will do.

Dutch Motorsport Racer Mike Hezemans recently joined Max Verstappen, and they chatted about the Red Bull driver’s future in the sport. In the Viaplay interview, Hezemans told Verstappen, “I think after that, ‘26 or ‘27, you should go to Ferrari. That’d be a lot more fun. Forget about Mercedes!”

This might come off as a far-fetched reality considering that Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have already taken the seats. Max Verstappen shunned the idea by jokingly saying, “Mike is lobbying!”

Further tempting Verstappen to his idea, Hezemans said, “Hey you could win Le Mans too, they’ve got a car in that” and the defending champion replied, “They do, yeah… I’m staying out of this for a minute.” The Red Bull driver has made it clear that he will not discuss other teams at the moment as his focus is this year’s championship.

Lewis Hamilton is moving to Ferrari and being able to race him in the same car is something the whole motorsport world wants to see. However, considering Ferrari has Lewis Hamilton booked until the end of 2026, this situation looks highly unlikely.

The driver who is not easily distracted from his goal, lifted his eyes from the prize for a second, only to let his close friend Lando Norris take it. The Miami Grand Prix showcased a different outcome to the race than expected and here is what Verstappen had to say about it.

“You win, you lose. We’re all used to that in racing, right?” asks Max Verstappen after the Miami Grand Prix. He didn’t get the win for a change, but that only paved the way for Lando Norris’s maiden F1 victory. His experience on track explained the difficulties he faced which became the reason he could not overtake his McLaren friend.

“Today was a bit tricky. I think already on the medium [tyres] it didn’t feel fantastic, we were pulling away but not like it should be. Then once we made a pit stop I heard what the lap times McLaren were doing and I was like, ‘Well, that’s pretty quick!’,” added Verstappen.

McLaren switched tires mid-race from medium to hard, and despite the lesser grip provided by the compound, like Verstappen said, ” Lando he was flying.” The Dutchman is happy that his friend finally won a race after being on the podium 15 times. This was finally his shot, and he took it.

That being said, do you think Lando Norris will steal more victories from Max Verstappen this season? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
