The multi-year deal keeps the Dutchman at Red Bull till 2028, and in a sport like F1, 4-year long deals are rare. Max Verstappen comments on life after the multi-year contract

Firstly, Verstappen quickly denied ever being part of Formula 1 in a technical or team role. The Red Bull man does not have any motivation for roles he does not feel would be enjoyable. And staying true to his competitive nature, the Dutchman might stick to racing, but in a different competition.

Perhaps the most shocking revelation of all was his wish to not continue beyond his current contract. Elaborating on the same, he said, “I haven’t decided yet what I’ll do after 2028. Maybe I’ll stop. I’ve been in Formula 1 since I was 17 years old, that’s a long time. I’ve had many seasons in F1 already. Maybe I want to do something different.”

Still undecided about where his future lies, Verstappen added, “I want to do other types of races – long-distance races, for example. Or Maybe by then I’ll be tired of travelling all the time. Maybe I want a simpler life and just do the races I like.”

“They are good because they focus on the things you need to know. If you have questions, they’re happy to sit down with you and explain. They’re very easy to work with.” said Newey about the former Red Bull pair. (Quote translated by Google)
