With this year’s extraordinary performance, Verstappen will have to pay an enormous sum to the governing body. The Red Bull driver has broken the longstanding record of 13 wins in a season. He has also surpassed the milestone of 413 points, a record that previously belonged to Sir Lewis Hamilton.
Summarizing the scenario, the Red Bull driver will pay approximately $983k, which makes it the biggest tax payment registered till now in sports history.
