Two drivers at entirely different points in their careers and completely different points in their lives. However, fighting each other in the twist of fate whilst maintaining equal and mutual respect for each other. The sport hardly ever sees a relationship like the one Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso have. The oldest driver on the grid has created a bond with the legend of the next generation. These aren’t just assumptions with their comments full of respect towards each other. Their conduct towards each other, despite being equally fierce competitors on the grid, also showcases the brewing bromance. Well, as of the Monaco GP post-qualifying press conference, it is brewed and Verstappen has fulfilled the conditions!

Fernando Alonso laid down some conditions during the post-qualifying presser, as seen on Instagram before he visits the Dutchman’s home. Now that we have the Monaco GP past us, the conditions are fulfilled and Alonso might end up at Verstappen’s home fulfilling his new passion for plants.

Verstappen jumped on the banter and asked, “Were they smelling good?” Alonso replied in the affirmative before adding, “You and Checo were talking a lot so I had to wait in the TV pen for a long time. There were a couple of flowers and I love flowers.”

Alonso revealed he has some flowers in his motorhome as well. Verstappen revealed, “I have some plants at home as well.” Alonso, without hesitation, replied, ” I can go in my free time. We talk tomorrow night. Depends how aggressive you were in the race.”

Even during his F1 hiatus, Alonso never lost touch with racing as he took part in WEC and won the prestigious 24-Hour Le Mans race twice. The Spaniard has obviously not given it a thought again after becoming part of the circus again. However, if he does go back to make a hat-trick of wins in Le Mans, he wants Verstappen to be part of his dream team.
