Max Verstappen Gets Roasted by Fellow Esports Driver as They Involve Webber and Maldonado in Their Banter

The Formula One season still can’t seem to begin with a series of races either dropped or deferred. Nine races have so far being dropped/delayed by FIA. A portion of the drivers are doing what they are best at. They are racing, but virtually. We have just observed Lando Norris, Alex Albon, Leclerc siblings racing on the web. Max Verstappen is additionally entertaining himself with sim racing.

Red Bull Formula One driver Max Verstappen took a hat-trick of second places on his V8 Supercars All-Stars esports debut on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old Dutchman was a special case section in a Red Bull liveried Holden in the second round of the Australian virtual arrangement with New Zealander Shane Van Gisbergen and Australian Jamie Whincup.

Verstappen took his three podium finishes in four races over the online Silverstone format and Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya, with the entire field contending remotely.

“It was a lot of fun driving in the Supercar races and very hectic. We got some good results in the end as well which I didn’t expect,” said Verstappen.

“To be second three times is not bad at all. To be 1-2 for Red Bull twice with Shane is really good.”

Consecutive wins by Shane van Gisbergen have guaranteed boasting rights over Formula One hotshot Max Verstappen in the Supercars Eseries second round on Wednesday night.

For the second round, Verstappen asserted his companion van Gisbergn was scandalous for crashing on virtual tracks, naming him “Pastor”. While van Gisbergen was repeatedly calling him ‘Mark’ instead of Max.

The brassy moniker referenced previous F1 driver Pastor Maldanado who had a record 26 penalties and 32 DNFs from 95 F1 starts from 2011-15.

Van Gisbergen got the last laugh at long last. He won consecutive races at Barcelona to win the round in front of Verstappen who completed second in three of the four races.

“He was giving me a bit of crap for being Pastor Maldonado. But he forgot that Pastor wins at Barcelona,” van Gisbergen said on Fox Sports after the race. The New Zealander was referring to Maldonado’s famous win in 2012.
