The way Max Verstappen dominated the F1 grid this season shows his good grip behind the wheel. Although Red Bull arguably had one of the fastest cars this season, crossing the checkered flag on 15 occasions in a season was not an easy task. Looking at the dominant season of the Red Bull driver, a veteran of the sport admires the Dutch Lion and even says that the ‘right man has won.’
Winning races even starting from P14, this season, Verstappen has now experienced it all. The Milton Keynes side won both the driver’s and the constructor’s championships with three races to spare. Besides, the way Verstappen has dominated the track, many have appreciated him, and among them is Sir Jackie Stewart.

He is the same person who a few years ago said that Verstappen’s way of driving has ‘rejuvenated’ Formula 1. It seems among millions of fans the Dutch ace has also acquired the attention of a three-time champion. Sir Jackie Stewart has always been vocal about Max Verstappen and now believes that the Dutch Lion deserved the title.
“It’s been a good year. It’s been a safe year. The right man won, the right team won. I think it was an excellent season,” said Stewart, talking to the GPblog.
Making the right prediction for the Yas Marina Circuit race, the veteran said, “I think Verstappen is going to be the man.”
He added, “Obviously, his teammate is very competitive at the moment and I think rather than Ferrari, it’ll be Mercedes Benz. They have a good possibility, I think.”
