Following the controversial events among the Red Bull men at the Brazilian GP, there’s a comparison going on. The comparison is between Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel for not following team orders. However, British journalist Will Buxton thinks otherwise, especially with the “title sewn up”.
For context, the team orders Sebastian Vettel did not follow were back in 2013 in his Red Bull days. The incident, commonly referred to as “Multi 21”, took place at the Malaysian Grand Prix when Vettel did not follow team orders. The team orders were to hold position, but Vettel overtook the then-teammate Mark Webber to take the race win for himself.

Will Buxton took to Twitter to discuss the difference between the Vettel incident and what happened with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez this past Sunday in Brazil.
“Comparisons between Max’s refusal of team orders yesterday and Vettel with Multi21 aren’t, to my mind, the same. Seb was going for a win, early in a season for which he was aiming for a fourth consecutive title. Max was running for sixth, title sewn up,” tweeted Buxton.
The TV presenter also addresses the possible friction caused by incidents in Monaco. “If, and it’s big if, this relates to Monaco, the team should have dealt with this by now. It should have been discussed and resolved,” he penned his opinion.
Verstappen’s refusal to give Sergio Perez his place back is generating a lot of negative attention and opinions. The British TV presenter shared his opinion as well.

Will Buxton shares his opinion on Max Verstappen refusing to take team orders
Red Bull has never finished a championship with a 1-2 in overall standings. The team has a real shot of doing that in the current season. However, because of Verstappen, that scenario might not come true in the current season.

Will Buxton expressed his opinion following Verstappen’s behavior. He tweeted, “Red Bull has never had a 1-2 in the drivers championship. That’s now their stated aim. His refusal to help them in that desire yesterday showed petulance and a sad and selfish short sighted spitefulness. He’s not the complete racer yet. Nor the talisman they need. Much to learn.”
