Max Verstappen Reveals Last Minute “Slight Adjustment” Ahead of United States Grand Prix

As F1 is in the United States for the second time this season, Max Verstappen is gearing up to conquer American grounds once again after winning the inaugural Miami Grand Prix. With the race to take place this weekend, Verstappen made last-minute changes to his race helmet. Ahead of Saturday’s qualification, the Dutch driver revealed the fact himself in a video.
In a video, shared from Max Verstappen’s official YouTube channel, the Dutchman conveyed, “I decided to go a little bit with what they also do around the track, with all the nice lines, the red and blue lines. It really showcases America with the stars.”

Talking about the change, the 25-year-old driver shared, “We also made a slight adjustment with the two stars, that would be beautiful to do for this current Grand Prix. I also keep collecting the stars luckily. I am very happy with the final result and think it looks very cool. I hope, of course, you guys are going to enjoy it as well.”
Max Verstappen is on the verge of breaking records
The 2022 F1 season has been phenomenal for Max Verstappen. The Red Bull star driver not only picked up a series of back-to-back wins but also retained his driver’s championship. With this record, Verstappen equaled his number of race wins and titles wins with that of Fernando Alonso.

However, there is another record the Dutchman will be eyeing. With 12 wins already in the bag, Verstappen is pretty sure to look towards breaking the records set by Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher. The Red Bull and Ferrari legends recorded a total of 13 wins in a single season in 2013 and 2004, respectively.

As things stand, one more win will see Verstappen equal his record with Vettel and Schumacher and two more will see the former Toro Rosso driver create a record of 14 wins in a season. With four more races to go, it’ll be interesting to see what Max Verstappen can do at the end of the season.

However, some pointed out that Max Verstappen has an advantage over Vettel and Schumacher. Both the Germans recorded their wins in 19 and 18 races in the entire season. However, Verstappen has 22 races to achieve the same feat. Do you think it is an advantage?
