Max Verstappen Shows Off His Lewis Hamilton F1 Knowledge With Sneaky Remark

Lewis Hamilton has shocked the world with his bid to buy the English soccer club, Chelsea FC, along with tennis superstar Serena Williams. Even F1 rival Max Verstappen was in shock knowing about Hamilton buying Chelsea, as Lewis is a huge fan of another soccer club.

The ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict forced the Russian owner Roman Abramovich to sell his soccer club Chelsea FC. Subsequently, there has been tremendous interest from around the globe to buy the 2021 UEFA Champions League winners. Now, the seven-time F1 world champion along with American tennis player Williams joined hands with British businessman Martin Broughton to buy the club.

It was shocking to know Hamilton is looking to buy the club. However, what was more shocking for fans was Hamilton’s interest to buy Chelsea, despite being an Arsenal fan. Red Bull rival Verstappen even said that how can someone buy a rival club? Moreover, if the Dutchman ever buys a club, he would like to be the sole owner rather than sharing ownership with someone.

Verstappen said, “I’m a PSV fan, and I’d never buy Ajax. And if I was going to buy a football club, I’d want to be the full owner and to take the decisions myself, not own just a tiny percentage. I thought he was an Arsenal fan? And if you are an Arsenal fan going for Chelsea, that is quite interesting.”

Can Lewis Hamilton become Chelsea FC’s owner?

The F1 world champion’s interest in being an owner of Chelsea was an enormous surprise. But if the Mercedes driver becomes an owner of the English club, then it would be a great milestone for the Briton.
