Kelly Piquet is a woman of many talents. While she may be known in the Formula 1 paddock as the girlfriend of two-time champion Max Verstappen, she’s so much more. Although F1 has been a constant in her life—courtesy of her father, Nelson Piquet—it’s not all that defines her. Apart from being a Brazilian-Dutch model and fashionista, she’s also a columnist, PR professional, and—her personal favorite—a mother. But has she also become a plaintiff now?

Simply put, a plaintiff is someone who sues someone or starts a civil case. And Piquet might be on her way to doing just that. It all started at the Paris Fashion Week. Could you have even imagined Paris Fashion Week without F1’s very own fashionista? Well, we sure couldn’t. But what should’ve been a week filled with glitz and glamor did not go as planned for Piquet.

Kelly Piquet might not be a fan of traveling for a while

Kelly Piquet has certainly been missed in the paddock for the past few weekends. But once you see all she’s been up to, you’ll realize it was worth it. Fashion Week at the Fashion Capital of the World was always bound to be a spellbinding experience. And Piquet left her mark there, too. During the week, she collaborated with one of the most renowned luxury brands in the world, Louis Vuitton. Worth a staggering $371 billion, the brand is all about classy elegance. Piquet perfectly exuded that, as she wore rusty red leather pants with a chic grey blazer.

After her breathtaking Fashion Week appearances, she attended the launch of child-safety brand Cybex’s new capsule collection. As enriching as that trip must’ve been, Piquet’s update after it wasn’t good. She posted pictures of some medicines on her Instagram story, suggesting she’d fallen sick. Oh, how relentless the life of a model is, especially after a month filled with fashion duties. Her Fashion Month woes didn’t end there, though.

In another Instagram story, Kelly wrote, “Hi @airfrance, it’s day 9 and my luggage is still missing ‼️ Yes, a report has been filed, but the company has been very unhelpful at tracking it down😩” Air France, what are you doing to F1’s fashion sweetheart? Kelly must’ve traveled to Paris on Air France. Considering it’s a brand worth $810 million, you would think they’d help their passengers after misplacing their luggage. But luggage problems really must be universal.

Either way, this was not how Piquet would’ve wanted to cap off a successful Fashion Month. The only silver lining? She had her beau to cheer her up (at least in spirit).

Max Verstappen rescued Kelly Piquet’s day

As Kelly Piquet conquered Fashion Week, Max Verstappen, as usual, was conquering F1. After a disappointing Singapore GP outing, the Dutchman looked out for revenge. Come the Japanese GP, he was all tuned in and ready to demolish. He lost in Singapore by 20 seconds, said he’d beat everyone in Suzuka by 20 seconds, and did just that. After hand-delivering Red Bull’s sixth constructors’ title, the Qatar GP will give him his first opportunity to seal the drivers’ title this weekend. He got a step closer to achieving that on Friday, and that’s how he lifted Kelly’s spirits.

If the reigning champion finishes higher than P7 during the Sprint race, he’ll win the championship. Leaving that aside, he improved his chances for Sunday’s race with yet another stellar qualifying performance in 2023. After his first run in Q3 that put him on top of the timing charts, he aborted his final lap, got out of the car, and was fashionably chill as the others improved. Of course, no one could beat his time, and he secured pole. Piquet shared F1’s post on her story with this: “🦁🔥♥️♥️♥️”
