The Dutch driver has always had the talent and the skills to match his speed, but could never showcase them because of the deficiencies in the car. Max Verstappen was driving in Formula 3 exactly as he is now: van Amersfoort

As reported by Motorsport-Turkey, we know the Red Bull driver for his no-nonsense and aggressive driving on the track where he does not give an inch to his opponents. Frits revealed Max has not changed his driving style one bit since his early days.

“Max was driving in Formula 3 exactly as he is now. Then it hasn’t changed at all. He may have started driving with a little more sanity, but he’s always pushing. He starts pushing the limits with the start and only stops when he finishes the race,” said van Amersfoort.

Known for his aggressive racing, in his time in Formula One, Max has made some exceptional overtaking maneuvers. His championship-winning overtake is synonymous with his driving style. Fritz revealed that his overtaking has also remained the same from his time in Formula 3000.

“The moves Max made with us in 2014 are similar to what he did in Formula 1. But then he was driving in front of a much smaller audience and people didn’t see it. Now he’s doing it in front of millions of fans,” said the former manager.

This is the reason which made Max stand out in his junior career and got the eye of Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko. The trust Red Bull have put in him paid dividends in his championship. Hopefully, after becoming world champion, Max Verstappen won’t change his driving style.
