Nikita Mazepin made his debut in Formula One at the start of the 2021 season. The Russian has had a tough start to his career at the pinnacle of motorsport. Mazepin has been involved in many on-track battles and off-track arguments with his teammate.

He also garnered a nickname for himself from the fans in his rookie season. The Haas driver has mentioned that despite his tough start to the season, he has improved and progressed as the season has gone along.

The Haas driver reveals his different nicknames

As reported by Bild, the Russian driver earned the nickname of ‘Mazespin’ during his initial races in F1. He was constantly spinning his car and often crashing it.

When asked if he has any other nicknames, he smiled and said, “I already know what you’re getting at. My family calls me Nik or Maz, which is also my driver’s abbreviation in Formula 1. I have a lot of nicknames there now.
