Lando Norris is easily one of the best drivers in Formula One right now. The young British driver has impressed everyone with his consistent performances and his incredible speed on the race weekends. But he is still without a race win in Formula One, despite getting so close on a couple of occasions.

“He is, in my opinion, as good as anyone in Formula One, unbelievably fast. But the part that I’m most impressed with Lando is how few mistakes he makes and his mistakes are small,” said Zak.

“You haven’t seen him many times. Put the car in the fence, run wide of the corner under pressure and make a mistake. He is, I think, as pure natural talent, I think he has as much as anyone Formula One,” said Brown.

It is indeed some high praise for the young Brit from his boss. He recently claimed the first podium of the season for himself and the team in Imola after a sterling drive. But the win he so desires is still eluding him.

Can Lando Norris win a race in the 2022 season?

In Monza, he finished just a second behind his teammate to bring home McLaren’s first 1-2 in 10 years. But arguably the closest he has been was in Russia last year. He was just two laps away from winning his first race ahead of Lewis Hamilton, but was caught out by the rain.

Since then, he has not really gotten an opportunity to fight for the top honors in F1. But if he continues the progress and consistency that he has shown, then it is just a matter of time before he wins his first race. It could happen in the 2022 season if McLaren provides him with a more competitive car in the upcoming races.
