During the press conference before the British Grand Prix in 2019, the world first got a sniff of what would happen if McLaren driver Lando Norris and Renault driver Daniel Ricciardo were paired up as teammates. Both drivers have two of the most unique personalities of all the drivers, and both have a good sense of humor and jolly nature.

A combination of which has made them both incredibly admired in and out of the sport.

However, that combination of personalities, when paired as a combination under one team, was something McLaren wasn’t gonna miss a chance at. Especially considering the racing talent and promise both Norris and Ricciardo have.

And that’s what they did.

They listened to the Gods of F1 entertainment and brought Daniel Ricciardo to McLaren in 2021. But this was something many worried wouldn’t work considering one is a rising star and the other wants to make a point, conflicts of interest.

Then there is the history of teammates at McLaren, be it Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost or Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.

Regardless, right off the bat, both Norris and Ricciardo jelled together and thrust their team forward and up the grid in terms of race results and points.

On top of that, they also helped in boosting McLaren’s off-track presence and popularity through their bromance and, of course, memes. All of this led to McLaren becoming the most popular F1 team in 2021.

Daniel Ricciardo has Lando Norris in tears at 2022 car launch

In a recent video that emerged from McLaren’s car launch, Daniel Ricciardo seems to have turned his teammate’s ‘laughter’ mode in overdrive, just as he did back in 2019.

Norris can be seen gasping for air as he is unable to contain his laughter, and try as he might by covering his face and walking away, he can’t contain his laughter.
