However, people do not understand just how demanding and exhausting an F1 race can be. A driver needs to be on top of his game all the time and maintain his concentration to avoid any mishaps. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton explained what it feels like after completing a race.

Hamilton said“Well the races are really demanding, they’re just exhausting.” He further stated, “Most of the time it’s mostly mentally you’re just you’re just empty, you want to catch your breath because you just feel tired within your body you feel emotionally drained.”

He further added, “Sometimes it’s a really good race so the adrenaline of the excitement of the success overcomes that. Other times, you’ve just had a tough race and you want to use the rest of the energy, conserve it because you have media and all those different commitments.”

“So yeah, there’s definitely no appreciation for what we do, but it is what it is I don’t really care.”

Lewis has also emphasized the importance of mental health and maintaining peak fitness in order to compete with other drivers in Formula 1.

Palmer also complimented Russell for an impressive first season with the Silver Arrows. Furthermore, he agreed that it would be an impeccable achievement for George if he finished above Lewis in the championship.
