The applied science division of the Mercedes team produced a piece of futuristic fashion equipment. The futuristic face shield debuted at the Balenciaga Couture Fall/Winter 2022 show.

However, the pioneers of the fashion industry accessorized the face mask/shield and integrated it into attires. And Mercedes F1 stamped futuristic face shields are a sign that the accessory is here to stay. However, the face shield made by the applied science division of the Silver Arrows caught attention as one of the most notable pieces from the show.
The mask is made of ink-tinted, coated polyurethane that is molded and polished by hand to fully fit the wearer. A press release said, “It is engineered to optimize [air] flow, improve performance metrics, and ensure a stabilized CO2 intake.”

The Mercedes-powered Balenciaga face shield will be available for purchase starting from 5,600 dollars. Regardless of the practical use, the face shield by Mercedes showcases the team’s versatility. A trait the Mercedes team has adopted, much like their seven-time world champion. Lewis Hamilton is as versatile as they come because the British world champion can do it all. And we won’t be surprised if this was Hamilton’s idea all along.
