Mercedes AMG F1 team remains the prominent candidate for lifting the upcoming season’s constructor’s title. The recent news of INEOS joining the team as part-owners only bolstered this statement. As a result, Mercedes are looking stronger than ever.

Considering the team’s partners holding partial reason behind their on-track success, let’s take a look at Mercedes’s sponsors for the 2020 season.

Petronas

Petroliam Nasional Berhad, generally known as Petronas, has remained a part of Mercedes since the team’s entry into Formula 1 in 2010. The Malaysian company is one of the world’s biggest oil and gas corporation owned by the country’s government.

Principal Partner of Mercedes

INEOS

INEOS will take up the role of principal partners for the upcoming 2021 season. The humongous British chemical company is also the part-owner of the racing team.

Following the 2020 season, INEOS bought a 33% share from the team, creating a three-way tie with Daimler and Mercedes’s boss, Toto Wolff.

UBS is a Switzerland-based investment bank, with headquarters in Zurich and Basel. The bank has been a part of Mercedes’s sponsorship for over 10 years.

Apart from F1, UBS also plays the role of the sponsor in a few Golf tournaments, Ice Hockey, and other sports teams and events around the world.

Epson

Epson is an electronics manufacturing company, with Printers and Projects listing under their biggest selling products. The company is run by the Japanese giants, the Seiko group.

Bose

Bose is an American company that stands out in selling audio equipment.  The company made its way into the market as early as 1964.

It has remained the primary supplier of headphones, mics, and other related components for the Mercedes F1 team’s garage and the pit wall.

Tommy Hilfiger

Another American company that specializes in manufacturing products related to fashion, including accessories like watches, eyewear, fragrances, luggage, and footwear. Tommy Hilfiger has its logo imprinted on the drivers’ suit and the nose of the F1 car.

IWC Schaffhausen

IWC Schaffhausen is a Swiss luxury watch manufacturing company that made its first timepiece in 1868. The watch manufacturers joined Mercedes as sponsors in 2013. Hence, the upcoming season will mark the 9th year between the two brands.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise

HP is an Information Technology based multinational company based in the United States. The IT giants reformed into a new company in 2015. Its components are used in the F1 team’s garage to display data and other important features regarding the 2 Mercedes cars.

Ritz Carlton

They are the official hotel partners of the Mercedes AMG team. The company owns a total of over 100 hotels around the globe. Ritz Carlton is run by its parent organization, Marriott International.

Monster Energy

It is the leading energy drink manufacturing company and other alternative beverages. Monster is currently holding sponsorships in most of the motorsport series.

Pure Storage

Pure is an all-flash data storage manufacturing company based in California, United States. The company was founded in 2009 and remained hidden until the wake of 2011.

Mercedes uses Pure for data storage, primarily on the cloud. But, apart from that, they also utilize the company’s specialization in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

CrowdStrike

CrowdStrike is a cybersecurity technology company founded in 2011. It has been providing Mercedes with extreme protection from cyber-attacks and other such threats.

TIBCO

TIBCO Software is a company that stands out in specializations of big data and software integrations. The company was founded in 1997 with the headquarters in California, United States.

The company’s logo can be seen imprinted on the Mercedes drivers’ crash helmet just below the visor.

AMD

AMD is an American multinational semiconductor company that manufactures processors and related products. The company joined the market in 1969 and has been dominating in performance in the software field.

Police have been the leading manufacturer of eyewear since its establishment in 1983. The Italian company supplies Mercedes’ F1 drivers and their crew with its stunning sunglasses.

During track walks or other non-racing times, both Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton can be seen using the sunglasses manufactured by Police

OMP

OMP is an Italian company that assists Mercedes by providing them with safety equipment, including the halo. The company kick-started its entry into the world of Motorsports in 1973.

OZ Racing

OZ is one of the leading manufacturing companies in building alloy wheels and was founded in 1971. Considering the company’s ability to build light-weight wheels, Mercedes had the urge to choose OZ Racing as their supplier amid heavy competition.

Endless

Endless Brake technology is one of the biggest names in the motorsport community for its high-standard brakes and other related products like brake calipers, brake rotors, and brake pads.

The Japanese company was founded in 1999. Since then, its dominance over this specific field has been astounding.

Pirelli

Pirelli is currently the tire supplier for all the racing teams taking part in Formula 1. The tire manufacturers remain the one and only supplier since 2011 in the sport. Recently, Pirelli also signed a contract extension and will remain in F1 until 2023.

Seedlip specializes in manufacturing non-alcoholic spirits across the world. The company hit the roof of fame the moment it made its way into the market in 2013.

The company describes its products as the ‘world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirits.’

These massive multinational companies play a massive role in the development of a racing team. As a result, with some major revamping over the 2020 year-end, Mercedes are looking quite stronger.
