Torger Christian Wolff, more commonly known as Toto Wolff, is one of the biggest rivals of Red Bull Racing. The Mercedes AMG F1 team principal is regarded as one of the finest team bosses who have taken his team to a new height by defying all Red Bull and Ferrari odds. However, little do people know, Wolff once himself wore the Red Bull colors!

The Austrian executive once raced under the Red Bull team during his motorsport career. Yes, that is correct! The Silver Arrows boss, who used to be a racing driver prior to his executive career, raced for the Austrian team.

In the early 2000s, Wolff took part in FIA-GT World Championships and at other important long-distance races. That was when he donned the Red Bull overalls. He picked up dashing victories in Porsche, BMW, and Ferrari alongside teammates such as Karl Wendlinger, Dieter Quester, and Philipp Peter.

He even won the Dubai 24-hour race with his partners wearing Red Bull overalls. Back in the 2000s, nobody thought that the smiling man in the blue Red Bull suit would go on to become one of the biggest rivals of the Milton-Keynes-based team.

Toto Wolff fires warning for Red Bull

Toto Wolff has recently fired at their arch-rival Red Bull ahead of the 2023 season. After having a rather odd 2022 season, the Silver Arrows boss believes they are ready for a grand return next year.

Talking about this, the German team boss told Sky Sports F1 their strong points, “You keep pushing so hard, the engine came along really well and I’m proud of what we achieved there. On the chassis side, there were more bad moments than good ones, but the good ones were spectacular like a week ago.”

And then he fired a warning to the current constructors’ champions, “It made us feel how good it can be and now we’re just pushing forward for next year. It’s raw, it’s bad, and it’s okay to feel like this, but next year we are back.”
