Every year during the Formula 1 off-season comes a momentous day when a host of celebrities and the F1 world join hands together to wish Lewis Hamilton on his birthday. The Brit was born in 1985 on the 7th of January. So as we celebrate Hamilton taking another year around the globe and wait for this year’s celebration photos and videos, let’s take a look back at all the hilarious and awkward instances from his 38th birthday.

Hamilton turned 39 today but is showing no signs of slowing down, so one can only imagine how full of energy his 38th birthday would’ve been. Let us revisit those instances starting from his surprise visit to Antarctica. That’s right, the Brit seemed to have desired to spend his birthday in serene surroundings. However, he did not forget about his fitness. The athlete in Hamilton pushed him to go on runs and he posted several videos of himself doing so. During his runs in icy cold conditions, he also ran past some penguins, seals, and even an abandoned whaling facility.

However, after coming back to the land of the living, he celebrated again with his friends, which turned out to be a good blurry night. As seen on his Instagram with the caption as proof: “The best ones are always a blur 〰️ Thanks for all the birthday love .” The ones who could not make it, however, shared their birthday wishes for the Mercedes man via social media.

In the video, one could clearly see a big group of people singing for Hamilton. Sitting at the center of the table, being the center of attraction, Hamilton seemed to be looking around the room uncomfortably. As the video progressed, Hamilton grew increasingly awkward. Right before the video ended, the Brit almost burst into laughter as he was being celebrated like how he was during his childhood.
