Knighthood is arguably the greatest honor that a British Citizen can receive during his lifetime. Even Lewis Hamilton was knighted for all that he had done for Britain in the F1 world. Hamilton will arguably go down as the greatest F1 driver in the history books. However, despite the honor, Lewis Hamilton was met with inequality. But the LH army was having none of it as they stood up to defend the 7X champion. But what exactly went down?
Jackie Stewart recently made comments about Lewis Hamilton as he advised that the 7X champ no longer has the hunger that he used to have as he advised how he has serious problems. The same was reported by PlanetF1 in an article and shared by their Twitter page. However, while doing so, they mentioned the F1 legend as Sir Jackie Stewart whereas the 7X champion was mentioned as Lewis Hamilton. Many questions were raised in the comments sections as people asked why the prefix Sir hasn’t been attached to Lewis Hamilton.
So, what’s the excuse now? To everyone’s knowledge, Sir Andy Murray is just as active as Sir Lewis Hamilton. pic.twitter.com/JRlSdXjkUJ

To counter, the account made a comment on the same post advising how the prefix ‘Sir’ isn’t used for athletes who are still active in the sport and that it is a common reporting practice. However, the comment to explain the sir situation shot the account in their own foot as people shared screenshots of PlanetF1’s previous tweets where Andy Murray is referred to as Sir while Lewis Hamilton isn’t. People advised that the account made rules to defend themselves.
However, some suggested that Andy Murray was retired at that time. Even for that, some people took screenshots of some recent articles, when Andy Murray was active and is referred to as Sir. The situation quickly escalated as fans united to defend Lewis Hamilton regarding this inequality. Let’s say what the fans had to say about it.
“Hypocrites everywhere”: Lewis Hamilton defended as fans unite
Fans took to Twitter to defend Lewis Hamilton after @fiagirly posted about the inequality against the 7X champion. Screenshots of the justification and Andy Murray being referred to as Sir were uploaded. Many fans advised how this isn’t fair and pointed toward the hypocrisy. Some advised that the LH army has the proof for everything as they backed up the inequality comments with facts i.e. the screenshots. Let’s see how the fans reacted on Twitter.

The hypocrisy is unreal. Always selective in acknowledging where respect is due🤔

The craziest thing to me is their justification of it all instead of just putting the 3 damn letters in the post lmao

These guys make up anything to defend their agenda. This entire media a bunch of Lewis haters

Mamy advised how people would make up any rules for their agenda as they pointed toward the justification by explaining how they could’ve just referred to Hamilton as Sir rather than justifying it.
