The world of sports entertainment has quickly become a chalice of pop culture. Naturally, the biggest stars from each and every sport often come together, breaking stereotypes, boundaries and oftentimes their own comfort zones to get behind a common cause. Two years ago, it was NBA legend, LeBron James who channeled his inner passions to team up with a pioneering brand, now, his dear friend, Lewis Hamilton, despite his own rules, has joined that particular bandwagon.

One thing that epitomizes the lives of these athletes is traveling. However, some take it as a bane and others as a boon. Hamilton & Co. love their traveling and have embraced it as a cherished part of their sporting lives. Hence, after James’ partnership with $715,000,000+ worth luxury travel brand Rimowa, a bevy of stars have joined in on the latest campaign.

And even though when James, back in the day, sported a ‘stackable archival case that stored wine bottles and glasses’, the Brit has still decided to put his name to this campaign.

In a feature for ELLE Singapore, Hamilton explained, “I have spent my whole career traveling the world, and those experiences have shaped who I am as both a driver, and a human. It was only through seeing new places and perspectives that I really learned to challenge my way of thinking, and to embrace the endless possibilities that the world holds.”

“Home is where I reflect, but it’s through travel that I’m truly inspired.”

You’d expect 7x champion, Lewis Hamilton to have the resilience of a rhinoceros. However, in his early days, just before he had made it into the big leagues, one all-night binge-fest turned into a lifelong lesson for the 38-year-old.

Earlier this year, Hamilton told Fox Sports, “I worked at one [Pub] when I was 17. I was a bartender. On the last day, I cleaned up the bar and I was like, ‘what are these drinks that I’ve been giving everyone?’ I tried everything and my dad had to come and pick me up! I was absolutely hammered. I tried a little bit of everything.”
