A team is only as good as its weakest link. While many may not think about it, fans are arguably one of the most crucial members of a team. Remember how Lewis Hamilton and Co. flew an F1 car over for a terminally ill child? The Briton always goes that extra mile for his fans. Singapore GP was no different where a fans’ 6-hour wait proved worth the while as Lewis Hamilton took a U-turn for a special gesture.

The Singapore GP weekend was full of positives for the Mercedes team. Lewis Hamilton, for the first time, felt super comfortable in his car on Friday. The 7x champion is always thankful to the fans and the same can be heard in his interview where he thanks the crowd and the fans who came all the way to support the drivers and the teams. Lewis Hamilton and Co. showed up with their F1 car for a terminally ill kid who wasn’t able to show up at this year’s Silverstone GP as the kid didn’t have long to live and doctors advised him not to go. And this wasn’t the only time, back in 2019, a similar gesture was presented for Harry, a kid who was suffering from cancer and didn’t have long to live.

As recently as the Monza GP, Lewis Hamilton took time out to meet a fan who was taken on a hot lap by Esteban Gutierrez. The 7x champ surprised the fan by coming out of nowhere to meet and greet her. Also, there was a kid who customized his wheelchair with Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes logos all over it.
