Lewis Hamilton is en route to break another one of Michael Schuhmacher’s records. The Briton is in no mood to stop and he will aim for a couple of more championships. Well, you know this Hamilton. Do you know the other one?
Back in the day when Lewis began his karting, he was just ‘another kid on the block’. With his family drenched in poverty, they dreamed of swimming in the ocean of F1. Eccentric and unrealistic were the words flung at them.
Dreams don’t need the world. Dreamers and their will are sufficient. The world of motorsports might appear devoid of emotion. Yet those roaring engines gently weaves for the out-pour of warm moments past the checkered flag. Such a moment captured reads of the best motivation for all the dreamers from the champion himself.
“If you’re out there wondering, doubting yourself, don’t!! Don’t give up, keep pushing, keep dreaming and talking that dream to existence. You can do anything you put your mind to, I believe in you and so should you.” wrote the Briton.
Hamilton struggled enough through his life but none sufficed enough to abandon his dreams. Even though he sits at the top now, he has not forgotten his roots. In the beautiful picture with his father, Hamilton recalls all they have been through.
“This moment in time I will never forget. We started with nothing, he had 4 jobs to keep me racing at one time and I slept on the couch. We dreamt of doing something, something so far out of reach, becoming an F1 driver,” wrote the Mercedes No. 44.
Lewis Hamilton has a dream lifestyle at present. Besides his golden career in F1, his knack for fashion and love for the environment will fool anyone into misjudging his past. Yet stay informed, the champion has spent nights dreaming of F1 with eyes wide open.
The Briton outlines in his post that though the world disregarded them and called them names, he and his dad never gave up dreaming. Lewis is the personification of conviction and dedication. He just doesn’t drive down the circuits, he lives through them.
“For a family with no money, we may have looked and sounded crazy. People would laugh at us, call us names, joke about us but we kept our heads down. We did our fighting with actions on track.” recalled Lewis in his post.
He wrote in a manner of forgiving those people who ever judged him. He has been subject to wrong criticism in F1 and even before. It didn’t matter to him. All that bothered him was his father and his dream. Well, he pleased both now.
